All-Inclusive Safari Elopement Packages in South Africa

All-inclusive safari elopement packages in South Africa bring your wedding, safari, and honeymoon together into one incredible experience.

Instead of trying to book a lodge, photographer, transfers, officiant, florals, and hair and makeup from another country, the important pieces are planned and coordinated for you. You arrive in South Africa knowing where you are going, who is meeting you, and what your experience will look like from the moment you land.

My safari elopement packages are created for international couples who want an intimate wedding centered on the two of them, with several days to enjoy the wildlife, lodge, food, and adventure together.

If you are still learning how the overall experience works, start with my complete guide to planning a safari elopement in South Africa.

Who These Safari Elopement Packages Are For

These packages are designed primarily for couples traveling from the United States, Canada, the UK, Europe, and other countries outside South Africa.

Most of my couples do not want to spend their wedding day managing a huge guest list, rushing between traditions, and trying to keep everyone else entertained. Instead, they would rather invest in several unforgettable days together and begin married life already on an incredible honeymoon.

A safari elopement may be just the two of you, or you may invite a small group of your closest people. In either case, guest options depend on the lodge, available accommodation, and the experience you choose.

This is a good fit when you want:

  • A private and intimate wedding
  • A luxury safari experience
  • Wildlife and nature to be part of your celebration
  • Several nights together instead of one rushed day
  • Help planning from another country
  • Your wedding and honeymoon combined into one trip
  • Someone to coordinate the lodge, vendors, transfers, and photography

What Every Safari Elopement Package Includes

Every package is built around the same core idea: you should be able to arrive in South Africa and enjoy the experience without trying to manage every supplier yourself.

Your package may include:

  • Safari lodge accommodation
  • Morning and afternoon game drives
  • Meals, snacks, and selected drinks
  • Airport and lodge transfers
  • Elopement planning and coordination
  • Professional photography
  • Hair and makeup
  • Bridal bouquet and buttonhole
  • Officiant or marriage officer
  • Ceremony planning
  • Wedding-day timeline
  • Help choosing the right lodge
  • Travel and packing guidance
  • Dietary and allergy coordination with the lodge

The exact inclusions depend on the lodge and package tier you select.

Some lodges include all meals, drinks, game drives, and selected activities within their nightly rate. Others offer additional private experiences that can be added to your package.

Three Safari Elopement Package Levels

I offer three package levels so you can choose the lodge style and experience that feel right for you.

The difference between the packages is not simply the number of wedding details included. Lodge quality, privacy, suite design, wildlife experience, reserve location, number of nights, and level of personal service all affect the final investment.

Classic Safari Elopement Package

Investment: Starting at $12,500 USD

This package is designed for couples who want an authentic, intimate safari experience without needing the most expensive lodge in the reserve.

The focus is on wildlife, connection, and the feeling of being completely immersed in the bush.

This package may include:

  • Three nights for two
  • All meals, snacks, and selected drinks
  • Two safari drives per day
  • Airport or regional transfers
  • Photography
  • Planning and lodge coordination
  • Hair and makeup
  • Florals
  • Officiant or symbolic celebrant
  • Wedding-day timeline

This tier works especially well if you care more about a private, personal safari atmosphere than ultra-modern design or a long list of luxury extras.

Luxury Safari Elopement Package

Investment: Starting at $22,000 USD

This package adds a higher level of lodge design, service, privacy, and comfort while keeping wildlife at the center of the experience.

You may stay in a spacious suite with a private plunge pool, enjoy spa treatments, and have access to more personalized dining or ceremony options.

This package may include:

  • Three or four nights for two
  • Luxury safari lodge accommodation
  • All meals, snacks, and selected drinks
  • Morning and afternoon safari drives
  • Transfers
  • Photography
  • Full elopement planning
  • Hair and makeup
  • Florals
  • Officiant or marriage officer
  • Couples massage or spa experience
  • Private ceremony setup
  • Customized wedding-day itinerary

This is often the right fit for couples who want an elevated safari experience without moving into the most exclusive private-villa category.

Ultra-Luxury Safari Elopement Package

Investment: Starting at $35,000 USD

This package is for couples who want the highest level of privacy, accommodation, personal service, and exclusivity.

Ultra-luxury properties may offer private villas, private vehicles, dedicated staff, exceptional dining, large suites, private pools, and more control over how each day unfolds.

This package may include:

  • Four to five nights for two
  • Ultra-luxury lodge or private-villa accommodation
  • Premium meals, drinks, and dining experiences
  • Private safari vehicle
  • Private guide and tracker, depending on the lodge
  • Luxury transfers or regional flights
  • Photography
  • Full planning and coordination
  • Hair and makeup
  • Premium florals
  • Officiant or marriage officer
  • Spa treatments
  • Private dinner or bush dining experience
  • Additional personalized activities

This tier is best for couples who value privacy, exceptional service, and the freedom to create a highly personalized safari experience.

How Much Does an All-Inclusive Safari Elopement Cost?

My current safari elopement packages generally range from $18,000 to $30,000 for two people.

The final price depends on:

  • Lodge tier
  • Number of nights
  • Time of year
  • Guest count
  • Room category
  • Regional flights and transfers
  • Private safari vehicles
  • Legal or symbolic ceremony
  • Florals and styling
  • Photography coverage
  • Optional activities
  • Extra honeymoon nights

Guest accommodation is an additional cost and can vary significantly between lodges.

In addition, some exclusive properties or highly customized experiences may exceed the standard range. The most luxurious lodges can reach $40,000 or more, especially when private villas, premium transfers, additional nights, and private experiences are included.

What Is Not Usually Included?

Although the packages cover most of the safari and wedding experience, some costs are normally separate unless they are specifically added.

These may include:

  • International flights to South Africa
  • Travel insurance
  • Passport or visa costs
  • Personal shopping
  • Additional hotel nights outside the package
  • Honeymoon travel after leaving the lodge
  • Premium alcohol outside the lodge’s included selection
  • Videography, unless added
  • Guest flights and accommodation
  • Optional activities not included by the lodge

For that reason, I will make the inclusions and exclusions clear before you book, so you understand exactly what your package covers.

Optional Safari and Honeymoon Experiences

Your safari elopement does not need to follow one fixed itinerary.

Depending on the lodge and reserve, you may be able to add experiences such as:

  • Extra safari nights
  • Private game drives
  • Horseback safaris
  • Helicopter safaris
  • Guided bush walks
  • River cruises
  • Stargazing
  • Cultural dance experiences
  • Couples massages
  • Private bush dinners
  • Wine tasting
  • Scenic flights
  • Videography
  • A Cape Town or Winelands honeymoon extension
  • A beach honeymoon in South Africa or elsewhere in Africa

Not every activity is available at every lodge. Part of my role is helping you choose a lodge that offers the wildlife, setting, and experiences that matter most to you.

Why the Lodge Changes the Entire Experience

The lodge is much more than the place where you sleep.

It affects:

  • The reserve and wildlife viewing
  • The privacy of your ceremony
  • The quality and style of your suite
  • The food and service
  • The photography locations
  • How flexible the schedule can be
  • Whether private vehicles are available
  • Which vendors can access the property
  • Which activities can be included
  • How easily you can travel there

A lodge can look beautiful online and still be a poor fit for an elopement.

Some properties are busy, have limited privacy, or are not flexible around photography and ceremony locations. Others are perfectly suited to intimate celebrations and will work closely with us to create a relaxed experience.

I have stayed at safari lodges, photographed in these environments, and worked personally with South African vendors. Rather than asking you to sort through hundreds of lodge websites, I narrow the options based on what you actually want.

How We Choose Your Package and Lodge

I generally recommend private reserves because they offer more privacy and flexibility. Here is a full explanation of why a private game reserve is better for a safari elopement.

The first step is a call with the two of you.

During the call, I want to hear what you are imagining and understand what matters most.

We will talk about:

  • Your preferred travel dates
  • How many nights you want
  • Whether it will be just the two of you
  • The animals you most hope to see
  • Your preferred season and weather
  • Your lodge style
  • Your desired level of luxury
  • Whether you want a legal or symbolic ceremony
  • Optional activities
  • Your approximate investment

After the call, I research availability and recommend two or three lodges within the package tier that fits you best.

Once you select the lodge and package, I send your contract and invoice. Payments are divided into four installments, beginning with a 40% retainer that reserves your date.

Then the planning begins.

What Planning With Me Looks Like

After booking, I help coordinate the details throughout the entire process.

That includes communication with the lodge and vendors, planning the ceremony, arranging hair and makeup, helping with florals, building the itinerary, and making sure your dietary needs and allergies are communicated.

I will also help you understand:

  • Which airport to fly into
  • How you will reach the lodge
  • What to pack
  • How wedding attire should travel
  • Whether a legal or symbolic ceremony makes more sense
  • Where to confirm current travel requirements
  • How to extend the trip into a honeymoon
  • What the safari schedule will look like

Closer to the date, you receive a complete itinerary and the information you need for your arrival.

Your transfers meet you at the arranged airport or pickup point and take you to the lodge. Once you arrive, your accommodation, meals, safaris, and planned wedding details are already in place.

When the lodge stay ends, your transfer takes you back to the airport or onward to the next part of your honeymoon. My 12-month safari elopement planning checklist shows when the lodge, flights, ceremony, attire, vendors, and final itinerary are usually handled.

What a Safari Elopement Experience Can Look Like

Most safari elopements take place over at least three or four nights.

A relaxed experience might look like this:

Arrival Day

You are collected from the airport and transferred to the lodge.

After checking into your suite, you may join your first sunset game drive, stop for drinks in the bush, and return for dinner beneath the stars.

Safari Day

The following day gives you time to settle into the lodge and enjoy the reserve without wedding pressure.

You might go on morning and afternoon game drives, relax beside your private pool, have a massage, or spend the day watching wildlife from the lodge.

Wedding Day

Your day may begin with a sunrise safari and breakfast together.

Hair and makeup starts later in the day, followed by getting-ready photographs in the suite. You may exchange vows in a dry riverbed, beneath a large tree, overlooking a waterhole, or in another private location selected with the lodge and guide.

After the ceremony, you celebrate with champagne and continue onto a sunset game drive for portraits and wildlife.

The evening might end with a private dinner, first dance, bonfire, or time beneath the stars.

Your First Morning Married

You wake up already on your honeymoon.

There is no venue teardown, guest departure, or immediate flight home. You can join another game drive, have breakfast overlooking the bush, book a spa treatment, or relax together at the lodge.

Why International Couples Choose an All-Inclusive Package

Planning a wedding in another country can become overwhelming when every part needs to be researched and booked separately.

You may otherwise need to manage:

  • A lodge reservation
  • Several vendors
  • Currency conversion
  • International payments
  • Regional flights
  • Ground transfers
  • Ceremony logistics
  • Marriage requirements
  • Safari schedules
  • Guest travel
  • Dietary needs
  • A wedding timeline

An all-inclusive package keeps those pieces connected.

You have one person helping you understand the process, choose the lodge, plan the experience, and coordinate the details before you arrive.

That allows the wedding to feel like what you wanted in the first place: time together, adventure, wildlife, and an experience centered on the two of you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can We Bring Guests?

Yes. You can elope on your own or invite a small number of family members and friends.

Guest pricing depends on the lodge, room category, number of nights, transfers, meals, and activities. Some lodges are better suited to small groups than others.

How Many Nights Are Included?

The exact number depends on the package tier.

I generally recommend at least three nights, although four or five nights creates a more relaxed experience and gives you more time to enjoy the lodge as part of your honeymoon.

Are International Flights Included?

International flights are not normally included.

Regional flights and transfers within South Africa may be included or added depending on your chosen lodge and package.

Can Our Ceremony Be Legally Recognized?

It may be possible to complete a legal marriage in South Africa, depending on your citizenship, documents, and the current requirements.

Some couples prefer to complete the legal paperwork at home and have a symbolic ceremony on safari. I help you understand the options and connect you with the appropriate officiant or marriage officer.

Can You Guarantee Animals During Our Ceremony?

No. These are wild animals living in a natural reserve.

We select reserves with excellent wildlife viewing and work with experienced guides, but an elephant, giraffe, lion, or other animal can never be guaranteed at a particular moment.

Can We Customize a Package?

The three package levels create the starting structure, but the final experience can still be personalized.

Extra nights, guests, private drives, premium transfers, activities, videography, and honeymoon extensions may be added depending on availability.

When Should We Book?

Nine to twelve months ahead works well for many couples.

Booking earlier gives you more options if you want a small luxury lodge, specific travel dates, peak safari season, or an ultra-luxury property with limited villa availability.

How Do We Get Started?

Complete the safari elopement inquiry form and tell me what the two of you are imagining.

We will schedule a call, talk through the experience, and determine which package level and lodges fit you best.

Find the Right Safari Elopement Package for You

You do not need to know which reserve, lodge, or package is right before contacting me.

That is part of what I help you figure out.

Tell me what kind of wildlife experience you want, how many nights you imagine, who is joining you, and what you want the entire trip to feel like. From there, I will recommend the package and available lodges that make the most sense.
