Noerenberg Memorial Gardens – Orono, MN

This is a great quiet, yet scenic location to take beautiful engagement photos for those looking for engagement photo locations in the west suburbs of Minneapolis! With its beautiful blooming gardens, lake views and peaceful trails, it’s one of my favorite hidden gems to take engagement photos for my couples. The best season to photograph here is during the spring blooms or in the fall with the stunning colors!

Wayzata Beach & Downtown Wayzata

Address: 220 Grove Lane East

Wayzata beach is a classic spot for engagement photos in the west suburbs of Minneapolis. This booming spot is perfect for candid engagement photos along the lakeside boardwalk. You can even grab a coffee or ice cream at the many cute spots along downtown Wayzata for some variety. The casual coastal vibes are great for those looking to capture stunning summer engagement photos. The golden hour lighting here is absolutely breath taking!

Excelsior Beach + Commons Park

Address: 135 Lake St, Excelsior, MN 55331

If you’re looking for nautical vibes with sailboats and docks, this location is perfect for your engagement session! Excelsior beach (with its nearby Downtown Excelsior), works great for couples who want casual, yet romantic engagement photos. Similar to Wayzata beach & downtown Wayzata, couples can mix it up by getting ice cream, coffee or drinks to make their engagement session fun!

Purgatory Park – Minnetonka, MN

With its tall grass fields, winding paths and wide open spaces- Purgatory Park in Minnetonka is another amazing spot for engagement photos in the west suburbs of Minneapolis! This park is also an off-leash park for dogs, making it a great options for couples wanting to include their furry friends in their engagement photos! This park has amazing colors in the fall!

Minnesota Landscape Arboretum – Chaska, MN

The Minnesota landscape arboretum is ideal for your more elegant engagement sessions. With its full garden estate vibes, you can’t go wrong in any season! This spot is perfect for those further west of Minneapolis, wanting beautiful engagement photos. Although one needs a permit to photograph here, it is totally worth it!

French Regional Park – Plymouth, MN

Address: 12605 Rockford Rd, Plymouth, MN 55441

French park in Plymouth is another beautiful park to take your engagement photos! This park has many wooded trials stretched over a large piece of land, making it less crowded and more relaxed and private for a fun, casual engagement session.
